What You’ll Find at the Farm Stand

Visitors to the Dwelley farm stand will find a cozy, recently renovated space packed with locally grown produce. While their Brentwood sweet corn and green beans are well known, the farm stand also features an abundant variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, including cherries, stone fruits, berries, melons, peppers, onions, and even local honey. You’ll also find freshly baked pies that make perfect take-home treats.

• Monday – Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Mel’s Corn Muffin Recipe

Ingredient List

• 1 cup of cornmeal
• 1 cup of flour
• 1/2 cup of sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1/4 cup of honey
• 2 ears of Brentwood sweet corn from Dwelley Family Farms
• OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:
  • bacon bits
  • jalapenos
  • cheddar cheese

How to Prepare

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mix all dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
3. Mix wet ingredients together in a separate bowl.
4. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Stir only until blended. Do not overmix.
5. Fold in corn.
6. Fold in optional ingredients if using.
7. Line muffin tin with cups or spray with non-stick spray.
8. Use a medium scoop to fill each muffin tin 1/2 to 2/3 full with Mel’s muffin batter.
9. Bake muffins in the oven for 20 minutes.
10. Remove from oven and enjoy!
